Exeter City Football Club
Over recent years, FT Group have also provided sponsorship for the Youth Academy at Exeter City Football Club which facilitates careers for boys aged under 16 who are deemed good enough to succeed in professional football.
The academy was founded on a strong sense of community responsibility; all boys sign a charter when they join the Academy that states they will commit to their school work, their physical fitness level and develop self-discipline.
A scheme created with both Exeter College and Exeter University allows the boys who are offered professional contracts to continue to develop beyond football. By helping them avoid making bad life choices, the Academy aims to ensure they become well-adapted and valuable adult members of society.
